Billy Hill

Billy Hill was born August 26, 1935 in Clifton, Tennessee the son of the late Barney Clay and Nannie Griffin Hill. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hill was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Wayne Hill. He departed this life Thursday, September 29, 2011at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital in Florence, Alabama at the age of 76 Years, 1 Month, 3 Days.



Mr. Hill was a Korean War veteran serving as a tank mechanic in the U.S. Army. He was employed by tow boat companies for 25 years and was retired from Dana Corporation in Hohenwald, TN. He married Juanita Chase Hill February 27, 1963. Also he was a member of Clifton Revival Center.



He is survived by his wife Juanita Chase Hill of Clifton, TN; three sons, Michael Wayne Boyd of Troy, MI, Billy Myles Hill and wife Kristina of Long Beach, MS, David Allen Hill and wife Lindsey of Pulaski, TN; a daughter, Regina Hill McDonald and companion Charlie Morgan of Waynesboro, TN; a brother, Eunice Hill of Hohenwald, TN; two sisters, Catherine Hill Anderson and Johnnie Nell Hill Alley both of Clifton, TN;

ten grandchildren, Mandy McDonald and fiance Ken Russell, Ryan McDonald and wife Holly, Smantha Thrash and husband Cody, Rachel May and husband Robert, Jessica Rickabus and husband Ben, Zach Hill, Ethan Hill, Christian Hill, Cheryl Hill, and Joe Boyd; five great grandchildren, Blaine Durham, Emma Hipps, Heidi McDonald, Angelina Boyd, and Blake Rickabus.



Services will be Sunday, October 2, 2011 at 3:00 PM at Clifton Revival Center in Clifton, Tennessee, with Shayne Riley officiating. Burial with military rites will follow in the Prater's Chapel Cemetery near Clifton with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
