BILLY MCINTYRE
Medon, TN: Billy Joe McIntyre age 80 passed away June 6, 2017 at Bolivar General Hospital.
He was born March 29, 1937 in Montgomery, AL the son of the late George and Mable Parker McIntyre.
He went to school in Montgomery and graduated High School. He married Mary Jones of the Montezuma Community in Chester County. They made their home in Nashville a few years, in Texas several years and moved back to Tennessee in 1978. The family lived in Finger for twenty years. He moved closer to his family in the Medon area last year. He loved to fish and raise chickens and sell them.
Mr. McIntyre is survived by a son, Billy Paul McIntyre of Finger; three daughters, Carolyn Sanders of Medon, Sandra Warren of Medon and Anita McIntyre Sterry of Nashville; fourteen grandchildren and thirty three great grandchildren; a brother, Jimmy McIntyre of Nashville and a sister, Joyce Howell of Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mary Jones McIntyre in 2016; a son, Richard Lee McIntyre in 2001 and a sister, Jewell Givens.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with R.A. Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Cave Springs Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday.
