Billy Joe Miller

Billy Joe Miller born the son of Novella King in Selmer, TN on Nov. 6, 1929 died in North Kansas City Hospital in Kansas City, MO on June 1, 2011 from thyroid cancer and natural causes at the age of 82 years. Billy was a retired sheet metal mechanic for TWA Airlines in Kansas City, MO.He also worked for Cessna in Wichita, KA prior to moving to Kansas City in the early 60's to work for TWA at the Kansas City overhaul base. Billy and his family were avid boaters and campers as they traveled in their RV for many years. Along with his wife Mary Jean Taylor Miller who preceded him in death on Oct. 15, 2010, they camped in many states throughout the South and the Southwest United States. Finally, they camped part-time on Luther Ingle Road in Ramer, TN where they attended church at the Unity Baptist Church.During their time spent at home in Kansas City, they attended the Tower View Baptist Church.Survivors are his two children, Robert Clay Miller and wife Summer of Rayville, MO and Deborah Jo Elam of Kansas City, MO; four grandchildren, Dustin Clay Miller, Jennifer Lynn Miller, Samantha Miller, Nathan Stephen Elam; one great-grandson, Mason Clay Miller. A host of extended family and friends.
