Beech Bluff, TN: Billy Joe Pearson age 83 passed away May 14, 2017 at his home.
He was born September 30, 1933 at Eastview and grew up in McNairy County, the son of the late Lanie Bell and Eva Marie Baker Pearson. He went to school in McNairy County. He was married to Betty Jo Faulkner in 1955. He farmed and logged and then entered the U.S. Army and was stationed at Fort Bragg, NC. After his time in the service he moved to Chicago where he worked as a machinist at Marsh Instruments in Skokie, IL and then worked for NTN Bearing in Elgin, IL where he retired in 1996. Mrs. Pearson died in 2010. He continued to live in Streamwood, IL until 2011 when he moved to Beech Bluff.
Mr. Pearson is survived by a son, Tony Pearson and wife Jeanne of Cincinnati, OH and two daughters, Tammy Pearson and husband Louis Rodriguez of Beech Bluff and Theresa Ontiveros and husband Joel of Woodstock, GA; brothers, Lynn Pearson, Danny Monroe, Willie Hugh Monroe, John Wayne Monroe and James Monroe; a sister, Barbara Jean Teet; five grandchildren, Laura Pearson, Timothy Pearson, Elizabeth Ontiveros, Tristan Pearson and Jazmin Rodriguez and three great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Betty Jo Faulkner Pearson, a son, Timothy Joel Pearson, three sisters, Arbie Washurn, Almie Pearson and Lucille McCommack.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel. Burial will follow in Chester County Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel beginning at 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Wednesday.
