BILLY C. PINKLEY
Luray, TN: Billy C. Pinkley age 80 passed away November 29, 2016 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
He was born August 29, 1936 in (Bemis) Madison County, the son of the late Millard Agail and Annie Isabell Volner Pinkley. He graduated from Pinson High School in 1955. He worked at the Bemis Cotton Mill for many years and then began working at Owens Corning in Jackson for many more years until the factory closed. He then drove a truck for a short time before retiring. He was in the Tennessee National Guard for seventeen years. He was a member of the Pinson Church of Christ. He loved to read and go to the Library. He also loved hot rod cars and enjoyed going to car shows.
Mr. Pinkley is survived by a sister, Bonnie Holder of Luray; nieces and nephews, Cheryl Ann Goodman, Stacy Holder and Jeff Holder.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a niece, Lesa Faulkner and a nephew, Perry Holder.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Johnson Chapel with David Wade and Ray Eaton officiating. Burial will follow in Lester Chapel Cemetery in Madison County.
The family will receive friends at Johnson Chapel 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday.
