Enville, TN: Billy Kent Pusser, age 74, died Thursday morning July 4, 2013 at his home in the Sand Mountain Community of Chester County.
Mr. Pusser was born and reared at Sand Mountain, the son of the late Dewey Kent and Beulah Franklin Moore Pusser. He attended Chester County schools and in 1957 married Mary Lee Bishop. They made their home in Chicago for ten years and then returned to Sand Mountain where Mr. Pusser farmed and raised mules and horses. He would have as many as 80 mules and horses at a given time and could be seen working his mules to a covered wagon all over the east end of Chester County. He loved participating in wagon trains in several states.
He is survived by three daughters; Brenda Shipman, Loretta Davison, and Lorencine Pusser all of Enville two brothers; Adrain Pusser of Jacks Creek and Tracey Pusser of Enville eight grandchildren: Stephanie Lollar, Billy Joel Pusser, Rusty Brent Ross, Christy Leigh Davison, Brandon Blake Davision, Sydney Shipman, Nick Shipman, and Kendalyn Shipman and six great grandchildren; Cody Lynn Lollar, William Dalton Lollar, Joshua Brent Ross, Hayden Tice Ross, Kaitlyn Elizabeth Page, and Audrey Faith Davison.
He was preceded in death by a son Billy Lynn Pusser in 1979 and his wife Mary Lee Pusser in 2010 and a brother Elton Dean Pusser.
Funeral services will be 4:00 PM Monday at Shackelford Funeral Directors –Casey Chapel with Lloyd Blankenship officiating and burial will follow at Cabo Cemetery where he will be carried by his wagon and a team of his mules.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel beginning at 5:00 PM Sunday.
