Billy Tranum passed away Thursday, February 18, 2010 at his home.
The husband of Susie Tranum, who survives, he worked construction. He also worked for Harman, for Wayne Vandiver, B & C Trucking, and was a school bus driver. He was born October 22, 1938 in Hardeman County to the late P.J. and Lizzie Majors Tranum and lived all of his life here. Mr. Tranum was a member of Porter's Creek Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, whom he married July 26, 1996, he is survived by four daughters, Tammy Kennamore of Nashville, Sylvia Harris of Jackson, Kimberly and Wendy Boone, both of Middleton; five sons, Huey Downen of Middleton, Timmy Tranum of Selmer, Ricky and Barry Tranum, both of Middleton, and Joseph Kel Boone of Middleton; four sisters, Dorothy Mullins of Toone, Ruthie Stewart of Middleton, Betty Howell of Middleton, and Sandra McAlpin of Middleton; four brothers, Jimmy Tranum of Middleton, Bobby Tranum of Toone, Johnny and Travis Tranum of Middleton; 21 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
