Henderson, TN: Billy Morris Watkins, age 79 died Saturday morning, February 23, 2013 at his home in Henderson.
Mr. Watkins was born in Florence, AL and grew up in Henderson, the son of the late Cecil Morris and Clara Elizabeth Harkey Watkins. He attended Chester County schools and entered the U. S. Army in 1953. Mr. Watkins worked as an industrial electrician and as a welldriller owning and operating Watkins Water Company. He married Nancy Moore in 1982. He was a member of A New Beginning Church.
He is survived by his wife Nancy Moore Watkins, five sons; William Watkins, Stephen Watkins, Darryl Watkins, Johnny Robinson, and Jerry Robinson all of Henderson. He has four daughters; Debra Watkins of Henderson, Carolyn Hale of Bolivar, Elizabeth Brasher of Henderson and Brenda Crowe of Savannah. He has fifteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren and a sister Catherine Henderson of Collierville.
He was preceded in death by a son Billy Michael Watkins, a sister Olivia Watkins, and a granddaughter Stephanie Frakes.
Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Sunday at Henderson City Cemetery with Brother Ken Kitchen officiating.
