Mr. Billy Ray West, age 60 of Bethel Springs, Tennessee, passed away Friday morning, October 31, 2014 at Pine Meadows Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Bolivar.
Mr. West was born November 22, 1953 to the late William R. Thomas West and Susie Ruth Eads West, and lived his entire life in McNairy County. He married Jacqueline K. West, who preceded him in death January 8, 1993, and worked at Tony Hooper's Sawmill as a Timber Cutter, prior to his life-changing accident in 1991. He was Baptist in belief, and loved his kids and making people laugh. He also loved to watch football.
Survivors include his children, Joshua Wade West of Peoria, Illinois, Charidy Nicole Daniel of Bolivar, Lois Michelle Woods and husband Andy of Middleton, and Billy Joe West of Tiptonville; sister, Sherry Dorris of Hornsby; brothers, Kenneth Wade West of Henderson, William Earl West of Adamsville, Joe Thomas West of Gonzales, Louisiana, and Robert Wayne West of Morton, Illinois; grandchildren, Piper Raeann West. Chad Martin King, Richard Jayce Phillips, Anthony Mark Woods, Jr., Hunter Gage Woods, Eli Walker Woods, Dalton Wade West, and Ana Marie West; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Linda K. Cox; and brothers, Roy Dale West, James Earnest West, and Michael Denny West.
Donations sent in memory of Mr. West may be sent to LeBonheur Children's Hospital in Memphis.
