Blanche Weeks

On May 28, 2024,Blanche Willafaye Thompson Weeks of Cypress Inn, TN passed away at the age of 80. She gracefully joined her beloved late husband Glennis Weeks on her heavenly journey.
 
 Born to the late Talmadge and Ila Taylor Thompson, Blanche's life was a tapestry woven with love, dedication, and unwavering care for her family. Her days were spent tending to her flower gardens, completing jigsaw puzzles, traveling, and playing board games with her family/friends, and basking in the beauty of nature. Blanche attended Florence First Assembly of God and was a former member of Civitan. Blanche radiated kindness and warmth wherever she went.

Blanche is survived by sons, Michael Weeks (Terica), and Kevin Weeks; daughters, Angela Butler, and Christy Thomas (Casey); brothers, Willie Ray Thompson, David Thompson, Kenneth Thompson, Arlie Thompson, grandchildren, Ina Butler, Jena Doverspike (Nathan), Jonathon Weeks, Benjamin Weeks, Brianna Weeks, and Abigail Thomas.

In addition to her husband and parents, Blanche is preceded in death by daughter-in-law, Barbara Weeks; brothers, Howard, and Jackie Thompson, and sisters, Betty Sue Butler, and Lou Ann Gambrell.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2024 from 5:30 pm until 9:00 pm at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Collinwood, TN.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 31, 2024 at 11:00 am at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Collinwood, TN with Joel Wallace and Roger Risner officiating. 

Burial will follow in Balentine Cemetery with Shackelford Funeral Directors assisting the family.
