Blonnie Whitlow

Blonnie Hill Whitlow was born April 25, 1914 in Winn, AL the daughter of the late A. W. and Clara Cobb Hill.Mrs. Whitlow was a graduate of the University of Alabama. She taught school in Alabama, Florida, and Tennessee retiring in 1954.She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Selmer, Tennessee where she taught a Sunday School class for 35 years. She was very active in the women\'s organization of the church and was the historian of the church for several years. Mrs. Whitlow was a member of the McNairy Hospital Auxiliary and a member of the DAR chapter in Grove Hill, Alabama. Her hobbies were working in her flower garden and playing bridge.She was united in marriage to Glenn H. Whitlow on June 15, 1946. Mr. Whitlow practiced law in Selmer before retiring in 1989. He preceded her in death on June 5, 1996. Mrs. Whitlow departed this life on Thursday, September 27, 2012 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 98 Years, 5 Months, 2 Days.In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Whitlow was preceded in death by her son Charles Glenn Whitlow on November 22, 1995. She was also preceded in death by all of her siblings.She is survived by a host of nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends.
