Bob Taylor Hime

November 14, 1921 — April 10, 2011

Bob Taylor Hime of Clifton, TN was born November 14, 1921 in Clifton, Tennessee, the son of the late George David and Eugenia Conway Hime. He was united in marriage to Ruth Allen on May 8, 1943.



Mr. Hime was a retired office manager with ASCS Department of Agriculture. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Clifton, Tennessee where he had served as deacon for 40 years. Mr. Hime was past master of Clifton Masonic Lodge twice, Masonic Lodge Treasurer 43 years, member of TASCO 50 years, member of Wayne County Equalization Board 25 years, Farm Bureau Director 32 years, ASCS County Manager 32 years, County Committee member 50 years, and worked with S.C.S, F.M.H.A, PCA, and extension services.



Mr. Hime departed this life on Sunday, April 10, 2011 at Wayne County Nursing Home in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 89 Years, 4 Months, 27 Days.



He is survived by his wife, Ruth Allen Hime of Clifton, TN; a son, Allen Hime of Franklin, TN; three daughters, Ann Hime Musselwhite of Murfreesboro, TN, Bobbie Hime Cobb of Clifton, TN, Deborah Hime Lee of Brentwood, TN; 8 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren; nieces and nephews.



In addition to his parents, Mr. Hime was preceded in death by a brother, Carl Hime; four sisters, Oda Hime Peery, Ollie Hime Cragg, Delia Hime Gillham, Frances Hime Depew.



Services will be Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at 12:00 noon at First Baptist Church, Clifton, Tennessee, with Randall Runions officiating and Masonic Rites given. Burial will follow in the Prater's Chapel Cemetery, Clifton, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors directing. Pallbearers will be Ben Jones, Ian Mallari, Cameron Blackburn, Dylan Cobb, Charles Cobb, Austin Lee. Honorary pallbearers will be Fred Gillham, Jr. and Jacob Mallari.



Visitation will be Tuesday, April 12, 2011 from 5 pm to 9 pm at Shackelford Funeral Home, Waynesboro, TN. His body will be placed in the church one hour before the service.
