Bobbie Helms

Bobbie Helmswas born in Chester County, Tennessee on April 28, 1939 the daughter of the late Ivy Granderson and Pearlie Mae Essary Smith.On December 4, 1955 she was united in marriage to Hebert Odell Helms of Adamsville, who survives.Mrs. Helms pressed shirts for Garan Manufacturing before she retired. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, crocheting, needlepoint, fishing, and attending church at The Sanctuary of Milledgeville Pentecostal Church.Mrs. Helms departed this life on Saturday, September 26, 2009 at the age of 70 years, 4 months, 29 days.In addition to her husband, she is survived by 3 brothers, Dennis Smith of Tullahaoma, Tennessee, Glen Smith of Memphis, Tennessee, and Sam Smith of Adamsville, Tennessee; 4 sisters, Dortha McBroom and Betty McClellan both of Lenoir City, Tennessee, Wanda Johnson of Parsons, Tennessee, Brenda Bushnell of Reagan, Tennessee.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Smith; 3 sisters, Maxine Organ, Ruby Crowell, and Jimmie Sue Carnes.
