Bobbie Ruth Phillips

Bobbie Ruth Phillips was born on October 6, 1931 in Hardin County, Tennessee, the daughter of the late W.L. and Reba Stafford Hughes.

On August 7, 1948, she was united in marriage to Jimmy Phillips, who preceded his wife in death on February 23, 2015.

Mrs. Bobbie was a member of Milledgeville Community Church. She enjoyed cooking and gardening. She loved her family very much and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Bobbie Ruth Phillips departed this life on April 23, 2025 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 93 years, 6 months, and 17 days.

She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Brown; grandchildren, Angela Lefler, Chad Phillips, Kayla Clay, and Kelly Criswell; great grandchildren, Ashley Van Dusen, Alicia Rose, Alexander Barber, Colton Culver, Colin Lefler, Cooper Phillips, and Adeline Clay; and 9 great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Bobbie was preceded in death by her son, Anthony Phillips; daughter, Shelia Phillips; brothers, R.C. Hughes and Larry Hughes; and sister, Virginia Pickens.
