Bobbie Sue Risner

Bobbie Sue Bates Risner of Waynesboro, TN was born June 22, 1932 in Wayne Co., TN the daughter of the late Robert and Libbie Lee Cheek Bates. Ms Risner was a retired cook from Wayne Medical Center and departed this life Saturday, December 31, 2016 at Waynesboro Health and Rehab, Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 84 Years, 6 Months, 9 Days.

She is survived by daughters, Brenda Staggs and husband, Donnie, Judy Garner and Kim Risner all of Waynesboro, TN; daughter-in-law, Teresa Bates of Collinwood, TN; grandchildren, Brandon Staggs, companion, Hayley Beckham, Daniel Jones, wife, Jennifer, Dustin Jones, Daken Maples, wife, Erika and Cory Bates; great-grandchildren, Madison Jones and Isabella Staggs.

In addition to her parents, Ms Risner was preceded in death by a son, Allen (Swivel) Bates; a grandson, Heath Staggs; brothers, A. J. Kimbrell, Marvin Kimbrell; Grandmother, Johnanna Cheek and her former husband and father of her children, Ellis Risner.

Services will be Monday, January 2, 2017 at 1:30 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Camryn Eaton and Greg Eaton officiating. Burial will follow in Shields Cemetery, Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Pallbearers will be Brandon Staggs, Daniel Jones, Dustin Jones, Daken Maples, Terry Thompson and David Edwards. Cory Bates will be honorary pallbearer.

Visitation will be Sunday, January 1, 2017 from 5:30 pm to 9 pm and Monday, January 2, 2017 from 8 am until service time at the funeral home.
