BOBBIE WELLS
Beech Bluff, TN: Bobbie Nell Williams Wells, age 82 passed away August 26, 2020 at the Henderson County Community Hospital.
She was born May 8, 1938 in Huron, TN the daughter of the late Carl Edward and Lexie Ledale Beecham Williams. She attended school in Lexington. She married Jimmy Van Wells on October 16, 1955 and they made their home in Mifflin. She worked for Chester County Sportswear for twenty years and then for Johnson Controls in Lexington for over ten years. Along with her husband they owned and operated Jimmy Wells Discount Grocery and Furniture Store in Mifflin. Mr. Wells died on March 18, 2012. She was a member of the Mifflin Baptist Church.
She loved to cook and entertain and was always the life of the party and she also enjoyed gardening.
Mrs. Wells is survived by a son, Tim Wells of Beech Bluff; three grandchildren, Bryan Wells (companion Melissa), Blake Wells (Tiffany) and Blair Wells (Lauren) five great grandchildren, Haley Wells, Hanna Wells, Aubrey Wells, Kallie Wells and Kyndel Wells; two sisters, Jean Tignor of Luray and Janice Haskins of Beech Bluff and three brothers, Carl Williams Jr., Roger Williams and Carlton Williams all of Huron, TN.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jimmy Wells and a son, Eddie Wells.
Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, August 30th at Mifflin Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Shackelford Funeral Directors – East Main Chapel 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Saturday.
