Mr. Graves died Friday, April 27th, at St. Frances Hospital, Memphis.
He was a retired electrician at Federal Express before retirement and had also worked at Dover (now Thyssen-Krupp) Elevators in Middleton. A native of Hardeman County, he was the son of the late J. B. and Johnnie Pearl Dowty Graves. He lived most of his life in the Grand Junction area before moving to Ashland, MS 17 years ago. Mr. Graves was a 1957 graduate of Grand Junction High School, a member of the Canaan Baptist Church near Ashland and former member of Grand Junction 1st Baptist Church.
He leaves his wife, Freddie Connor Graves; daughters, Cindy Graves (Kent) Spann of Grove City, OH and Rhonda (Mark) Brown of Middleton; son, Steven (Kim) Graves of Bolivar; 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; nieces and nephews, Dorris Wiggins, Mary Jones, Vicky Gamber, Donna Morris, Britt Gamber, Brittany Smelcer, Dwight and Debbie Brewer and Randal Graves; sister-in-law, Anita Graves and several great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Rickie Hugh Graves.
