Bobby Saul Jackson

Bobby S. Jackson, Collinwood, TN was born May 25, 1938 in Iron City, Tennessee, the son of the late Walter Leo and Lizzie Jane Thompson Jackson. He was united in marriage to Eleanor Copeland on February 21, 1959. Mr. Jackson was a retired farmer and maintenance worker with the TN Dept of Transportation. He was a member of the Collinwood Church of Christ, a member of American Legion #254, and a U. S. Army veteran.



Mr. Jackson departed this life on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at Wayne Medical Center in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 71 Years, 8 Months, 22 Days.



He is survived by his wife, Eleanor Copeland Jackson, Collinwood, TN; a son, Bobby Paul Jackson, Bartlett, TN; a daughter, Marsha Cole, Cypress Inn, TN; eight grandchildren, Brett, Blair, Brooke Jackson, Brittany Holt, Krysta Kephart, Rachel Cole, Beth Allison, Katrina Lamon; six great-grandchildren, Sawyer and Jonathan Holt, Bryant and Cole Allison, Karly Forrester, Kylie Lamon; three brothers, Charles and Billy Jackson, Iron City, TN, Jerry Jackson, Waynesboro, TN; two sisters, Bessie Barkley, Florence, AL, Dorothy Herston, Mobile, AL; nieces and nephews.



In addition to his parents, Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by a sister, Wilma Jean Daniel.



Services will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Gregg Lee officiating. Military rites and burial will follow in Memorial Gardens, Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County directing. Pallbearers will be Jamie, Chris, and Ricky Jackson, Ricky Richardson, Tim, Anthony, and Steve Daniel, Tim Barkley. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Barkley and Jimmy Kephart.



Visitation will be Wednesday, February 17, 2010 from 6 pm to 9 pm and Thursday, February 18, 2010 from 9 am to service time at the funeral home.
