Lane McMahan, 68, of Hornsby, died Wednesday night, August 3, at Bolivar General Hospital.
Born July 14, 1943 to Carlos Eugene and Jo Hazel (Mayfield) McMahan, he was an entrepreneur investing in many kinds of businesses. Mr. McMahan lived all his life in Hornsby and was a member of the Hornsby Baptist Church.
Those who survive him are his daughter, Jo McMahan of Hornsby; a grandson, Ritchie Smith of Hornsby; a sister, Jo Ann Gibson of Ramer; and a special friend VerLinda Lineberry of Hornsby. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers Big Boy McMahan and Curtis McMahan.
