Bobby Phillips was born in Hardin County, TN on February 25, 1956, the son of the late Bert and Marjorie Wood Phillips, who survives.
Mr. Phillips had lived in Hardin County all his life, and was a retired millworker for PCA in Counce, TN, where he had worked for 20 years. He was a member of Sharon Baptist Church, the Savannah Masonic Lodge, and also attended the First Cumberland Presbyterian in Savannah.
He enjoyed turkey and deer hunting, fishing, talking on CB radio, where he was known by his handle of "Snake", and enjoyed watching Tennessee football.
He departed this life on May 30, 2014 at the Hardin Medical Center at the age of 58 years, 3 months, and 5 days.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by one son: Robert Boyce (Bob) Phillips of Olive Hill, TN; one daughter, Beth Stephens and her husband Brett of Savannah, TN; his former wife and mother of his children, Denice Phillips of Savannah, TN; one sister, Gail Fondren and her husband Dennis of Savannah, TN; and one grandchild, Emsley Stephens.
