Bobby Gene Waddell was born on January 2, 1935 in Riverton, Alabama, the son of the late George William and Maude May Hayes Waddell.
On December 4, 1954, he was united in marriage to Virginia "Earle" Smith, who survives.
Mr. Waddell honorably served his country in the United States Army as a gun smith from 1954 until 1958. He worked for Tennessee Valley Authority as a Public Safety Officer and Captain, Pickwick Dam, & Yellow Creek Nuclear Plant, and owned and operated his own automotive, gas, and service station, "Bob's Shell". Bobby was a member of the NRA, FOP, and New Chapel Freewill Baptist Church in Counce, Tennessee.
Bobby Gene Waddell departed this life on November 2, 2024 in Counce, Tennessee at the age of 89 years and 10 months.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Virginia "Earle" Smith Waddell; sons, Monty Ryan Waddell and Timothy Clayton Waddell; daughter, Mendy Bob Waddell Casabella; grandchildren, Cody Ryan Waddell and his wife Sarah, Bobbie Anne Williams, Julianna Waddell Oliver, Noah-James Waddell-Martin, and Isabella Casabella; great grandchildren, Carter Robertson, Harlow Robertson, Case Waddell, and Chett Waddell; and very special niece, Carolyn Smith Parson.
In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his sister, Esther Elizabeth Waddell Harland and brothers, Arthur Clayton Waddell, George William Waddell, "Jr.", and James Clyde Waddell "Tootsie".
