BONNIE BURKHEAD DAVIS
Henderson, TN: Bonnie Ruth Burkhead Davis age 83 passed away Wednesday evening December 21, 2016 at Northbrooke Health Care.
She was born February 21, 1933 in Chester County, the Montezuma Community, the daughter of the late John Andrew and Lula Bell Waldrop Burkhead. She went to school at Montezuma. She was married to Belvin Cook. She made her home in the Montezuma Community all of her life. She babysat and worked in food service at Freed-Hardeman working for Morrison and Hill Food Service. After retirement for food service she continued to babysit in her home. She was a member of the Old Friendship Baptist Church.
She loved cooking for family and friends and loved to raise flowers. She loved her little dog Copper.
Mrs. Davis is survived by three daughters, Ann Moore and husband John of Henderson, Donna Doyle and husband Jim of Bethel Springs and Tina Ross and husband Damon of Jacks Creek; two sons, Galen Cook of Finger and Ronald Ray Cook and wife Sherry of Henderson; eleven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; four brothers, Buck Burkhead, Dub Burkhead, Tony Burkhead and Kenneth Burkhead all of Henderson.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruby Jewell Burkhead and Alice Faye Miller.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, December 23, 2016 at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Clint Burkhead officiating. Burial will follow in Montezuma Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM Thursday.
