Bonnie Heckle departed this life on Tuesday, December 4, 2012, at the age of 86 years, 1 month, 10 days.Bonnie was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on October 24, 1926, the daughter of the late Wylie Richard and Ida Ethel Godwin Hurst. In 1966 she was united in marriage to Kenneth Heckle, who preceded her in death in 1979. Mrs. Heckle had lived in Hardin County for 35 years, Memphis, Tennessee area for 50 years, and the Chesapeake, Virginia for a year. For 30 years she had worked for Bell South/ ATandT as a supervisor and trainer. She was a member of the First Christian Church while in Memphis and attended the Robertson Chapel Methodist Church in Savannah, Tennessee. She enjoyed yard work, flowers, traveling, and baseball. Bonnie was a cheerful person, always with a smile on her face. She was a friend to everyone, a wonderful sister, aunt, and she will be greatly missed.Bonnie is survived by her sister, Ida Mae Hurst Alexander of Chesapeake, Virginia; stepdaughter, Diane Lemaire of Louisiana; 2 nieces and a nephew.In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Katherine Reed and brother, John Daniel Hurst.
