Mrs. McAlpin passed away Tuesday morning at Bolivar General Hospital.
The widow of Robert Vernon McAlpin, who passed away January 11, 1977, whe was a homemaker. Born to the late Otha and Ada Tillman Doyle in Hardeman County, she lived all of her life in the area. She was an avid gardener and a member of the First Baptist Church in Bolivar.
Survivors include a daughter, Cheryl Ann Diggs of Memphis, TN; two sons, Terry McAlpin of Bolivar and Ronald McAlpin of Middleton; a sister, Virginia Howell of Middleton; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Evelyn McKee, Bess Baker and Ruby Stewart; and three brothers, Huey Doyle, Ellis Doyle and Hall Doyle.
