Brian "Bubba" Baker, 35, of Hornsby, passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2025.
He was born in Jackson, TN on Monday July 2, 1990, to Michael Neal Baker and the late Janice Weaver. A 2009 graduate of Bolivar Central High School, he lived most of his life in Hardeman County except for a few years in McNairy County.
Most recently, he was employed with Kilgore in Toone and had worked for Spectrum and Wal-Mart in Selmer and Mat Industries in Jackson. Brian was proud of his Cherokee and Irish ancestry and enjoyed telling those around him of it. Known to many for always wearing a cap, camo apparel (many times with the sleeves cut off) and a pair of boots, his interests were quite varied. He enjoyed Chevy trucks, collecting Hot Wheels cars, Superman, the American Flag, eagles, drawing and "tinkering". More than anything else, he loved his family, many times, putting them above and before himself especially when it came to his father.
He leaves behind his father, Michael Neal Baker and stepmother, Tonya Baker, of Hornsby; two sisters, Natasha Baker of Selmer and Brittney Baker of Hornsby; paternal grandmother, Margie Baker of Hornsby; and his fiancé, Brittany Hall of Hornsby.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Thomas Baker, and maternal grandparents, Lester and Nola Mae Weaver.
