Bridget Johnson Merriman Berman

Bridget Merriman Berman, age 63, passed away September 26, 2015, in Nashville, Tennessee, after an extended illness. She was preceded in death by her father, Floyd Shields Merriman, Waynesboro, TN.

Survivors include, her husband, Irwin Elliott Berman, Nashville, TN, her mother, Bonnie Johnson Merriman, Waynesboro, TN and her brother, Jerry Floyd Merriman and his wife, Laura, Lawrenceburg, TN. Several nephews and nieces also survive.

A graduate of Middle Tennessee State University and Georgia State University, Bridget taught students in the Atlanta and Nashville area. Her latest assignment was serving Metro Nashville Public Schools as an Exceptional Education Coach. Bridget was a member of the Methodist faith.

Memorial services will be Friday, October 9, 2015 at 1 pm at Shackelford Funeral Home chapel, Waynesboro, TN with Kevin Marston officiating. Committal will follow at Shields Cemetery with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing.

Visitation with her family will be on October 9, 2015 from 11 am-1 pm at the funeral home
