BRUCE STEPHENS
was born on February 23, 1946 in the foothills of the Smokey Mountains. He was the son of a preacher and one of seven children. His family moved to Savannah when Bruce was about 5 years old. Bruce grew up in the church and learned at a young age to love the Lord. He served his country in the National Guard. On November 25, 1987 he married Connie Smith, who survives.
Everyone new Bruce by Bruce's Auto Repair, the business he started about 1980. He loved working on cars. Bruce was a kind hearted person, who would help anyone in need. He was always paying someone's bills that were unable to pay. Bruce loved being outside and working on the farm in Milledgeville on his days off from work. He liked driving his little Ford Tractor. Bruce was a man of many talents, from being an auto man to playing the piano, he was good at what ever he did.
Bruce is survived by his wife of 26 years, Connie Stephens of Savannah, Tennessee
four sisters, Lois Alexander, Lucille Robinson, Donnie Alexander and Nancy Polk, all of Savannah, Tennessee
one brother, Willis Stephens of Adamsville, Tennessee
Bruce is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews that he loved dearly
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one son, Shane Stephens and one sister, Doris Whited
