Bryan Brooks

July 20, 1957 — August 30, 2020

Bryan Brooks was born July 20, 1957 in Savannah, TN the son of the late James and Maxine Ratliff Brooks.

He was united in marriage to Myra J. Weeks on March 15, 1986.

Bryan was a 1975 graduate of Central High School in Savannah. He worked as a metal fabricator at Aqua Glass for 18 years and Praxis for 11 years before retiring. Barbecuing, woodworking, metalworking, "piddling and tinkering" were some of Bryan's favorite pastimes; he won numerous trophies as a barbecue pit master. He loved his family and his "grand-dog" Henry. Bryan was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church.

Bryan departed this life on August 30, 2020 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 63 Years, 1 Month, 10 Days. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Myra J. (Weeks) Brooks of Selmer, TN; a son, Seth Brooks and wife Sarah of Moyers, OK; a daughter, Rena Brooks of Adamsville, TN; a brother, Jimmy Brooks and wife Janice of Sardis, TN; a sister, Margie Franks of Savannah, TN; his beloved "grand-dog" Henry; and many extended family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Bryan was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Clement, and a brother-in-law, Max Franks.
