Buddy Melson
was born in Wayne County, Tennessee on March 13, 1937 the son of the late Pony Melson and Racheal Phillps Melson.
On February 18, 1961 he was united in marriage to Eula Mae Melson whom survives.
Buddy retired from Valcum Material Company Max truck driver and retired after 36 years. He first lived in the Rayburn Creek Community before moving to Old Town Community where he attended Shady Grove Freewill Baptist Church. Buddy loved to go to church, enjoyed his John Deer tractor. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He loved to camp and fish with church friends and family.
Buddy departed this life on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at the age of 75 years, 2 months, 10 days.
Buddy is survived by his wife Eula Mae Melson of Savannah, Tennessee; four sons, Charles Melson, Bobby Melson, Danny Melson, Randy Melson, all of Savannah, Tennessee; two daughters, Teresa Melson and Amy Sharp, both of Savannah, Tennessee; four brothers, Billy (Dobie) Melson, Robert Melson, Andrew (Andy) Melson, Johnny Keeton Melson of Savannah, Tennessee; three sisters, Lucille Banks, Mae Doyle, both of Savannah, Tennessee; Hazel Cotner of Corinth, Mississippi; twelve grandchildren, Melissa Killingworth, Steven Melson, William Melson, Brittney Melson, Stormy Haynes, Vivan Melson, Victora Melson, Evelyn Hughes, Roger Hughes, LeeAnn Lopez, Ashley Stansell, JoAnna Sharp; two great grandchildren, Kylee and Eben Killingworth; nine step great grandchildren.
Buddy was preceded in death by his parents, Pony and Racheal Melson, two brothers, Daniel (Goose) Melson and Frank Norman Melson.
