Henderson, TN: Buford Mosier, age 83 passed away September 8, 2010 at Chester County Healthcare.
He was born in Stantonville, TN and grew up in McNairy County, the son of the late David Anthony and Daisy Mosier. He attended school in McNairy County and in 1945 he entered the U.S. Army and served in Korea and the Philippians during WWII. He was married to Anne White after the service. They made their home in Henderson. He was in the amusement and record shop business owning and operating Poplar Music Company until his retirement. He was a Baptist.
He was a Charter member of the BPOE #2459 of Henderson and served two terms as Exalted Ruler and was very active in all their fund raisers. He had helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars. He stayed active in the Lodge as long as he could.
He is survived by three sons, Mike Mosier of Jackson, Bruce Mosier of Henderson and Ashton Mosier of Jackson; a daughter, Summer Hess of Henderson; a brother, Olus Mosier of Henderson and two sisters, Jean Farley of Henderson and Judy Clayton of Selmer; 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Alan Mosier in 1980 and Tim Mosier in 2008 and also two sisters, Beatrice White and Madge Whitten.
