Burnis (Buck) Robinson
was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on January 7, 1919 the son of the late William Richard and Maggie Hudson Robinson.
On November 12, 1938 he was united in marriage to Betty Vaughn, who preceded him in death on August 10, 2009.
Mr. Robinson retired from Owen Savannah Soybean Company, he had been with the company for 50 years. He was a Scottish Rite of Freemasonry in Corinth, Mississippi, a member of the Henderson Elks Lodge #2459 in Henderson, Tennessee, and a US Navy Veteran. He was a life member of the Al Chymia Shrine Temple, Caruthersville, Missouri Masonic Lodge #461, VFW, and the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 1918 in Savannah, Tennessee. He enjoyed flying airplanes and loved dancing.
Mr. Robinson departed this life on Sunday, April 22, 2012 at the age of 93 years, 3 months, 15 days.
He is survived by a daughter Nancy Jean Bright of Savannah, Tennessee; a son, Jerry "Butch" Robinson and wife Myra of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Rita Spry and husband Richard of Savannah, Tennessee, Rex Robinson of Nashville, Tennessee, Michelle Berghan and husband Nigel of Brisbane, Australia, Vicky Weeks of Savannah, Tennessee, and John Robinson of Tupelo, Mississippi; 8 great grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Bill Robinson; a daughter, Peggy Lee Taylor; 3 grandsons, Aaron Robinson, Richard Stanfill, and Chris Robinson; a brother, Barney Robinson; a stepsister, Sue Zimmanck.
