Butonne Tyler Scott

Butonne Tyler Scott was born on November 13, 1927 in Hardin County, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Cliff and Alma Sue Strawn Tyler.

On September 23, 1950, she was united in marriage to Fred Ray Phillips, who preceded his wife in death. Butonne was later united in marriage to Willie Warren Scott, who preceded his wife in death on May 29, 2004.

Butonne was a member of Crump United Methodist Church in Crump, Tennessee. She was a seamstress and worked as a caretaker for children and immediate family members, including her mother, nephew, and sister. She loved her flowers and her garden.

Butonne Tyler Scott departed this life on Friday, March 24, 2023 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 95 years, 4 months, and 11 days.

She is survived by her brother, Arnold Tyler (Evelyn) of Crump, Tennessee; nephew, Ben Tyler (Melinda Jones) of Savannah, Tennessee; great niece, Megan Richards and her children, Karlie and Kori Richards, all of Savannah, Tennessee; and great nephew, Jake Tyler of Savannah, Tennesee.

In addition to her parents and husbands, Butonne was preceded in death by her siblings, Linda Sue Tyler, Carl Wayne Tyler, Paul C. Tyler, and Lowell W. Tyler.
