Carl Lynn Hughes

Carl Lynn Hughes was born on November 10, 1959 in Hardin County, Tennessee, the son of the late C.L. and Pearl Stricklin Hughes.

On August 31, 1984, he was united in marriage to Teresa Melson Hughes, who survives. He and his wife were foster parents for 17 years and were awarded Foster Parent of the Year in 2007.

Carl worked as a truck driver for Williams Lumber Company and previously worked for several years at Angelica. He was a member of New Pleasant Grove Freewill Baptist Church in Savannah, Tennessee. Carl enjoyed hunting, farming, and spending time with his family.

Carl Lynn Hughes departed this life on December 9, 2022 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 63 years and 29 days.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa Hughes of Savannah, Tennessee; daughter, Evelyn Wilkerson and her husband Reuben of Savannah, Tennessee; son, Roger Hughes of Savannah, Tennessee; and brother, Jeff Hughes of Savannah, Tennessee.
