Carline Vandergrift

Carline H. Vandergrift, 92, of Bolivar, passed away Wednesday afternoon, September 8, 2010 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
The widow of Leo Landy Vandergrift, who died May 21, 1959, she was a retired teacher and consultant. Mrs. Vandergrift was born August 23, 1918 in Middleton to the late Julius Carl Hudson and Martha Simpson Hudson and lived most of her life in Hardeman County. She was a member of Bolivar First United Methodist Church and a member of Delta Kappa Gamma and Zeta Tau Alpha societies.
She is survived by a niece and her husband, Mary Van Barkley and David of Middleton; a great nephew and his wife, Joey Barkley and Christina; and two great great nieces, Mikayla and Mattie Barkley.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Everett S. “Bob†Hudson; and a nephew, Robert Carl Hudson.
