Denise Howell, known fondly as "Mama Neeci", passed away on July 27, 2024, in Bolivar, Tennessee. She was born on July12, 1956, in Hardeman County, Tennessee.

Throughout her life, Denise dedicated herself to caring for others. She worked as a CNA Pine Meadows Healthcare Center in Bolivar and also spent several years at Webster Sporting Goods as a clerk. Her nurturing and compassionate nature shone through in her career and personal life.

Denise's true joy came from spending time with her grandbabies. Her family meant everything to her, and she cherished every moment she spent with them. She was a beacon of love and support for her husband, James E. Howell of Bolivar, whom she married on July 12, 1975, her daughter Kimberly Goff (Jason), her son Jimmy Howell (Kristy), and her grandchildren: Kamryn Mazzoccoli, Brianna Bishop (Jared), Trey Howell (Haven), Ethan Roberts, Anna Grace Howell, Ja'Lyn Howell, and great-grandchild Lynlee Sage.

In addition to her family, Denise had a passion for fishing and was an active member of the Order of the Garter, a support group for the Iron Warrior Motorcycle Club. She enjoyed archery, hunting, and exploring new places through travel. Her faith was also central to her life as a member of Hebron Baptist Church.

Denise is now reunited with her parents, Herbert Earl Moore and Elizabeth Louise Kelley Moore in heaven. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Herbert Earl Moore Jr., sister, Joann Clifton.

Denise Howell's legacy of love, kindness, and devotion will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in peace knowing she was deeply loved and will be forever remembered.  Memorial contributions in her name may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (www.stjude.org/donate) or the National Kidney Foundation (www.kidney.org)
