Carol Ann Rixie

Carol Ann Rixie, 72, of Middleton, departed this life on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

She was born Sunday, September 17, 1950, in Humboldt, daughter of the late John James Tillmon and Alice Lorena Harbin Tillmon and was a homemaker, taking care of her family, mother and grandmother.  She enjoyed reading romance novels, crocheting, horses and everything in life, but especially loved being around her family.  She lived all of her life in Hardeman County and was Baptist in faith.

Survivors include a brother, Grady Tillmon of Bolivar; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and John Tillmon; and her sisters, Kathleen Borders, Elizabeth Rodgers and Magdalene Sisco.  Memorial contributions in her name may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (www.stjude.org/donate) or the Cerebral Palsy Foundation (www.yourcpf.org).
