Carol Ann Wilson, 83, of Selmer, TN, peacefully joined her Heavenly Father surrounded by family on December 11, 2020 at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth, MS.
Carol was born Carol Ann Brown on June 24, 1937 to George and Bertha Seymore Brown, but was called Sweet Pea most of her young life. Born into a strong lineage of the Cherokee nation and the middle child of a large family of 12, Carol lived a humble life full of love, hard work and faith in God. She worked as an LPN for almost 50 years sharing the same commitment to serve and help others afforded to her by her humble upbringing. She was a kind mother, loving wife and long-time member of Faith Baptist Church of Selmer, TN and throughout her life, her faith in God only strengthened.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, George and Bertha Seymore Brown; two brothers, Dayton Brown and Buddy Brown; four sisters, Myra Brown, Ruth Watson, Mildred Estes and Opal Brown; an infant sibling; and one daughter, Vicki Lynn Brown. Her surviving siblings are: Marie Howell of Kentucky, Kathy Dishongh of Leoma, TN and Martha Ayers of Lawrenceburg, TN; and one brother, Bobby Brown of Leoma, TN.
Carol is also survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Ronald Wilson formerly of Stigler, OK; one son, Thomas Perigo (Traci) of Brandon, MS; three daughters: Sheila Denson of Martin, TN, Angela Griffin (Scott) of Atoka, TN and Rhonda Abdulla of Martin, TN. Carol was blessed with 13 grandchildren: Scott Lomax, Justin Lomax, Mark Brown, Kimberly Burton, Nicholas Denson, Cheyenne Perigo, Tommy Perigo, Lauren Mann, Lance Mann, Haley Griffin, Jacob Abdulla, Josef Abdullah, Nasar Abdulla.
