Carolyn Hill Alexander was born in Lewis County, Tennessee on July 7, 1947 the daughter of Delia Collins and the late Carnie Monroe Bunch. On May 22, 1965, she was united in marriage to Tommy Hill, who preceded her in death on November 17, 1984. Carolyn later married Bruce Alexander on May 11, 1987, who preceded her in death on April 4, 2004. She departed this life on November 4, 2017, at the age of 70 years, 3 months, and 24 days.
Carolyn attended Sharon Baptist Church. She worked as a beautician in Olive Hill, Tennessee and as the office manager for Alexander Construction for 17 years. After retiring, Carolyn loved babysitting Alli Franks, Peyton Murphy, Alex Adams, Logan and Lexi Williams, Millie and Kely Norris, and Colby Hill. She also enjoyed cooking for family, friends, and church events.
Carolyn is survived by her mother, Delia Collins and husband Carlton of Hohenwald, Tennessee; son, Ty Hill and wife Heather of Savannah, Tennessee; daughter, Summer Hart and husband Brent of Savannah, Tennessee; sister, Deborah Kilgoar of Phil Campbell, Alabama; grandson, Colby Hill of Savannah, Tennessee; and numerous extended family members.
In addition to her husbands and father, Carolyn was preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Luna.
