CAROLYN GARNER BROWN

Henderson, TN: Linda Carolyn Garner Brown, age 75, passed away July 1, 2026, at her home.

She was born May 9, 1951, in Chester County, the daughter of the late John Henry and Hazel Lorine Jones Garner. She went to school in Chester County.

She worked for R. C. Cola in Jackson as a tow motor driver.

She loved to cook and take care of her family who affectionately referred to as “Nanny” by her family.

She loved her pit bull “Nikki Jean”.

She was a member of the Cave Springs Baptist Church.

Ms. Brown is survived by a son, Brian Smith of Henderson; a daughter, Brenda Bennett of Henderson; two grandchildren, Samantha Bennett and Alyssa Taylor: a great grandchild, Hayden Bawcum; a brother, Billy Garner of Henderson and a sister, Gerldine Rowland of Silerton, TN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Danny Garner.

Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, July 2nd at Cave Springs Cemetery with Bro. Randy Mead officiating.

The family will receive friends at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM.
