Mrs. Carolyn Goddard departed this life at the age of 82 years, 3 months and 29 days Wednesday morning, June 13, 2013 at her home in Michigan City, Mississippi.
Mrs. Goddard was born in Benton County, Mississippi February 14, 1931 to the late Alfred Thomas and Velma Marie Kimery Doyle. She graduated with the Class of 1949 from Grand Junction High School and was united in marriage to Mr. Edwin Goddard, who survives, on June 3rd of the same year. She worked as a teachers' aid in the Benton County School System for 24 years prior to retirement and was a member of the Holmes Memorial Methodist Church in Hickory Valley. Among her hobbies, she especially enjoyed gardening and flowers.
In addition to her husband of 64 years, survivors include two daughters, Judy Goddard of Olive Branch, MS and Sandra Hobson and husband Barry of Ashland; a brother, Thomas Doyle of Ashland; a granddaughter, Candice Nutt and husband Chris of Ashland; a great-granddaughter, Sydney Marie Nutt; and a sister-in-law, Jane Doyle of Michigan City. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Gene Doyle.
