Carolyn Genevie Rich Horton

.Carolyn Genevie Horton was born on April 25th. 1930, and passed on September 4th. 2017 at the age of 87. Mrs. Horton made her home in Florence, Al., for 48 years before 2016 returning to her home town of Waynesboro, TN. She had made her new home at Boyd Cottages Assisted Living in Waynesboro. She is preceded in death by her husband James R. (J.R.) Horton.

Mrs. Horton is survived by her daughter, Nancy McGuire (Mike), grandchildren, Julie Jones and Steven Young (Dana), great grandchildren, Jeremiah, Hannah, Dylan and Hailey, sister Ocie Richerson, Waynesboro, TN., brother Norman Rich of Muscle Shoals, Al.

She is the daughter of the late John L. and Winnie Rich, formerly of Collinwood, TN. In addition to her parents and husband she is preceded in death by sisters, Hazel Holt and Winnie Mae Grimes, brothers, Granville Rich, Raymond Rich, Gaynes Rich, Ralph Rich and J W Rich.

Services will be on Wednesday, September 6, 2017, 11:00 AM Shackelford Funeral Home, Collinwood, TN. with Jim Cabiness and Ted Vafeas officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens, Collinwood, TN. with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of the arrangements.
