Carolyn Patrick

Carolyn Patrick, born on January 17, 1947, in McNairy County, Tennessee, was a cherished soul who graced the world with her kindness and compassion. The beloved daughter of the late George A. and Maggie Ruth Pounds Patrick.

Carolyn dedicated over 40 years of her life to serving others as a nurse at Hardin Medical Center. Throughout her career, she not only provided care but also took the time to mentor many nurses and aides, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the privilege to work alongside her.

Carolyn had a zest for life that was infectious. She embraced adventures, whether traveling to new places or enjoying delightful lunches with her hospital friends and fellow retirees. Her enthusiasm extended to Zumba classes, where she found joy in movement and camaraderie. She enjoyed attending First Baptist church in Selmer, TN.

A true animal lover, Carolyn cherished her precious dogs, especially her granddog, Riggs, who brought her immeasurable joy and companionship.

On September 8, 2025, Carolyn's journey in this world gracefully came to a close in Nashville, Tennessee, at the age of 78 years, 7 months, and 22 days. She leaves behind her son, Brian Dancer, and his wife Reba of Nashville; a sister, Loretta Gale Flatt of Adamsville; her nephew Jeremy Flatt; her great-niece Cheyenne Flatt; and a myriad of extended family and friends who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.

Carolyn was ready to reunite with her beloved loved ones, including her dear furry companions. As we remember her today, let us celebrate the beautiful legacy she leaves behind—a life filled with love, compassion, and unwavering dedication. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
