Carolyn Evelyn "Lisa" Porter Nutt

Carolyn Evelyn "Lisa" Porter Nutt was born February 18, 1946, in Lowndes, GA the daughter of the late M.G. and Evelyn Kinsey Porter. She was a member of the Zion Baptist Church and retired from Dura Automotive. Lisa departed this life on August 16, 2023 at the age of 77 years, 5 months, and 29 days. 

She is survived by sons, Kenneth Nutt of Waynesboro, TN, Curtis Nutt (Kelley Rochell) of Waynesboro, TN, and Russell Nutt (Renee) of Navarre, FL; step daughters, Rhonda Pennington of Loganville, GA, Becky Reid of Pell City, AL, and Rose Ellen Jinks of GA;  brother, Benjamin Porter of Lake Park, GA; sisters, Wanda Gail Swiley of Valdosta, GA, Sue Plair of Valdosta, GA, Linda Ealy of Memphis, TN, and Debra Porter of Atlanta, GA;  grandchildren, Kyler Nutt (Jade) , Keathan Nutt (Sydney), Hannah Reaves (Kaden), Dawson Nutt (Addie), Sebastian Nutt, Tristian Snelling (Justin), and Caden Nutt; great grandchildren, Parker Nutt, Jenna Snelling, Josiah Snelling, Peyton Griggs and Paizlee Griggs.

In addition to her parents, Lisa was preceded in death by a brother, Lawrence Porter, and sisters, Mary Frances Hickman, Libby Jo Rogers, and Anna Maria Porter.

Pallbearers will be; Kyler Nutt, Keathan Nutt, Dawson Nutt, Sebastian Nutt, Caden Nutt, and Kaden Reaves.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2023, from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm and on Sunday, August 20, 2023, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm service time at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Waynesboro, TN.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 20, 2023, at 1:00 pm at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Waynesboro, TN with Greg Eaton officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Waynesboro, TN with Shackelford Funeral Directors assisting the family.
