Carolyn Virginia Hunsucker Sandusky, 71, of Somerville, Tennessee, passed away on November 5, 2026, at her home in Somerville. She was born on March 6, 1955, in Somerville, and she lived her entire life in the community she knew and loved.

Carolyn was Baptist in faith and attended Mercy's Bridge Church and Grace Ministries. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she loved her church dearly. She retired about 12 years ago from Pre-Con Corporation in Bartlett, Tennessee, and was known as someone who was always on the go. Carolyn found joy in the simple and meaningful things that filled her days. She loved animals, especially cats, and enjoyed camping and making trips to Buc-ee's. She loved traveling, being around water and the pool, and spending time outdoors. Gardening and working in her yard brought her happiness, and she even mowed her one-acre lot with a push mower, a reflection of her energy and determination.

Above all, Carolyn will be remembered for the life she built in Somerville and for the love she shared with those around her. Her presence brought warmth to her family, and her active spirit and steady devotion to the people and places she cherished will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her son, Terrance Watkins of Somerville; her grandson, Tyler Watkins; and her great-grandchildren, Stella Uthoff, Barrett Watkins, and Elodie McPherson. She is also survived by her brothers, Jeff Hunsucker and his wife, Christy, of Arlington, and Mark Hunsucker and his wife, Wendy, of Somerville. May the love Carolyn gave so freely continue to live on in each of them and in the many memories they hold close.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Sandusky; her son, Steven Watkins; her father, Julian Hunsucker; her mother, Lottie Byrd Hunsucker; her sister, Brenda Nelson; and her brothers, Ricky Hunsucker and Dennis Hunsucker.
