CAROLYN ANN STIHELwas born on August 1, 1938 in Akron, Ohio, the daughter of Blair and Evelyn Brown Nance Eiseman, who preceded her in death. On December 28, 1961 she was united in marriage to George Patrick Stihel.Mrs. Stihel served her country for two years in the United States Marine Corps. She lived in Hardin County for thirty seven years and was employed as a teacher with the Hardin County Board of Education for thirty years. She also served as President for the Tennessee Teachers Association. She was a member of St. Mary\'s Catholic Church in Savannah, Tennessee. Mrs. Stihel was known as a giver, who loved her family; she was an avid reader and enjoyed boating, computer games and taking care of her grandchildren.Mrs. Stihel departed this life on April 29, 2013 at Hardin Medical Center in Savannah, Tennessee, at the age of 74 years, 8 months and 28 days.In addition to her husband, Pat of Savannah, Tennessee, she is survived by a son, Gregory (Greg) Stihel and his wife Kristi of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and a daughter, Gayle Lynn Hardwick and her husband, Bryan of Brentwood, Tennessee; two sisters, Bonnie Berryhill of Corpus Christi, Texas and Joy Dicksen of Savannah, Tennessee; three grandchildren, Hannah Stihel, Cameron Stihel and Sydne Grimes and two step grandchildren, Patrick Hardwick and Brittney Hardwick.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, George Patrick (Rick) Stihel in 1988.
