Carolyn Shaffer Tenry departed this life on Monday, December 2, 2019, at the age of 92 years, 3 months, and 7 days. She was born in Rives, Tennessee on August 25, 1927, the daughter of the late L.D. and Beuna Garner Shaffer. On February 16, 1946, she was united in marriage to Reabon Tenry, who preceded her in death on May 15, 2019.
Carolyn was a homemaker and a member of Stanleys Chapel United Methodist Church in Union City, Tennessee.
Carolyn is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Carolyn was preceded in death by a sister, Marie Shaffer Bott and her brother, Hubert Preston Shaffer.
