CARRIE NEAL CHERRY

Lexington, TN: Carrie Neal Cherry age 93 passed away July 7, 2020 at Lexington Manor.

She was born January 19, 1927 in Chester County at Enville and grew up in Henderson, the daughter of the late John Wilson and Como Edna Tedford Cherry. She graduated from Chester County High School. She worked as a hairdresser in Henderson. She moved to Lexington in 1978 to work at Delavan Delta where she retired later. She worked at the fabric department at Wal-Mart. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lexington.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and five brothers, Roy Cherry, Ray Cherry, Knox Glenn Cherry, Haggard Cherry and Tillman ‘Skeeter’ Cherry and a sister, Nancy Cherry Wyatt.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Dr. Hoyt Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Henderson City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM Thursday.
