Carrie Lou Simpson

Carrie Lou "Carol" Simpson was born May 17, 1927 in North Carolina the daughter of the late L. B. and Mary Lou Huff McCully. She was united in marriage to Russell Simpson on November 26, 1956. Mr. Simpson preceded her in death on December 24, 2003. Mrs. Simpson was an avid supporter of the Humane Society. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.Mrs. Simpson departed this life on Friday, March 18, 2011 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 83 Years, 10 Months, 1 Day.She is survived by a son, Todd Simpson and wife Joyce of Selmer, TN; a daughter, Tina Crowell of Woodstock, GA; five grandchildren, Logan Simpson, Jessica Wyte and husband Charlie, Michael Crowell, Lexus Crowell, Angel Crowell; three great grandchildren, Samantha Wyte, Colton Wyte, Averianna Wyte; a host of extended family and friends.In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Simpson was preceded in death by a sister, Becky McCully. Funeral services were held on March 22, 2011 at 10:30 AM at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Selmer, Tennessee, with Bro. David Paseur officiating. Interment followed at 2:00 PM in the Memphis Memory Gardens at Memphis, Tennessee.Serving as Pallbearers were Todd Simpson, Logan Simpson, Charlie Wyte, Brennan Smith, Michael Bray, Lee Segars.
