Carrol Browning Crouse was born August 26, 1938 in Hornsby, TN the son of the late Jimmy Lee and Sallie Cooper Crouse. Mr. Crouse departed this life on February 10, 2020 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 81 Years, 5 Months, 15 Days.
Carrol married Barbara Jo Price on September 4, 1956 which allowed them to start their journey and walked together for 63 continuous years. Their indelible bond together created a wonderful life with 5 children, 11 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. He is survived by 3 children: Barbie Reinke and husband Thomas, Joel Crouse and wife Teresa and Melissa Johnson and husband Sammie.
He is preceded in death by 2 children, Dennis Crouse and Janet Reinke; sister, Louise Knight; two brothers, Herbert and Tom Crouse.
Their journey took them to places such as, Germany, France, Switzerland, and Austria. Trained as a combat soldier, Carrol served in Vietnam in 1965 and 1968. On completion of their 20 years of military service, they took the path less traveled following their commitment to serve the Lord. They built Gateway Holiness Chapel serving the greater Refuge Community. Upon retiring from the church they could often be seen riding in their convertible eating ice cream.
