Carylon Ann Melson Banks

Mrs. Carylon Ann Melson Banks departed this life on Friday, March 3, 2017 at Waynesboro Health and Rehabilitaion Center in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 65 Years, 2 Months, 9 Days. She was born December 22, 1951 in Waynesboro, TN the daughter of Irene Whitten Melson, of Collinwood, TN and the late John Edgar Melson. In addition to her father, Mrs Banks was preceded in death by grandparents, Jay and Pearl Melson, Sherman and Isa Whitten.

She was united in marriage to John E. Banks on December 27, 1969.

Mrs.Carylon was a retired Pharmacy Technician at Collinwood Drugs . She was a member of the Piney Grove Freewill Baptist Church .

She is survived by other than her mother, her husband John E. Banks of Cypress Inn, TN., sons, Jason Edward Banks of Cypress Inn, TN, John Eric Banks of Florence, AL, daughter, Kimberly Rena Griggs of Waynesboro, TN, grandchildren, Morgan Griggs, Weston Banks and Daxton Banks, brothers, John Melson of Anchorage Alaska, Kenneth Melson of Waynesboro, TN, sisters, Linda Griggs of Waynesboro, TN, Brenda Thomspon of Waynesboro, TN, Judy Inman of Collinwood, TN. and Norma Brewer of Collinwood, TN.

Services will be held on Monday, March 6, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Piney Grove Freewill Baptist Church in Cypress Inn, Tennessee, with Greg Eaton and Tim Hanback officiating. Burial will follow in Piney Grove Cemetery , Cypress Inn, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be on Sunday, March, 5, 2017, 5:00-9:00 pm at Shackelford Funeral Home, Collinwood, and on Monday, March 6, 10:00 am until service time @ Piney Grove Freewill Baptist Church, Cypress Inn, TN.
